Position: Manager / Senior Manager – Legal

About the Role:
M1xchange is seeking a Legal Manager/Senior Manager to manage and oversee the company’s legal, regulatory, and compliance affairs. This role offers a dynamic opportunity to work within India’s rapidly growing fintech ecosystem, ensuring all operations and agreements are legally sound and compliant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing, negotiating, and vetting commercial contracts such as Business Agreements, Aggregator Agreements, Service Provider Agreements, NDAs, Referral Agreements, and Software Licensing Agreements.
- Drafting various legal documents including undertakings, authority letters, declarations, notices, and Power of Attorneys.
- Supporting customer onboarding by reviewing executed agreements, board resolutions, and other authorization documents; maintaining trackers for exceptions.
- Managing contract lifecycle and compliance trackers, ensuring regular updates and MIS reporting.
- Providing legal advice on regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and dispute resolution.
Required Qualifications:
- LL.B. from a reputed university.
- 8–10 years of total experience, including at least 4–6 years in a corporate legal department.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Strong ability to handle multiple projects with precision and independence.
Preferred Knowledge Areas:
- In-depth understanding of laws relevant to fintech and trade finance, including:
- Indian Contract Act, 1872
- Companies Act, 2013
- Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2022
- Factoring Regulation Act, 2011
- Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002
- Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996
- Additional advantage for candidates with expertise in RBI guidelines, international trade finance, and fintech regulations.
