ABOUT THE JUDGE
Hon’ble Justice Arvind kumar is a sitting judge of the Supreme court. Justice Kumar began his career by practising law in Civil Courts, Magistrate Courts, and Appellate Tribunals. In 1999, he was appointed as Additional Standing Counsel for the Union government He has also held the position of Special Public Prosecutor for the Central Bureau of Investigation. In 2009, Justice Kumar was appointed as an Additional Judge to the Karnataka HC and in 2012, he became a Permanent Judge. Justice Kumar was later appointed as the Chief Justice of the Gujarat HC in October 2021. During his tenure, the quarterly rate of clearance of cases remained above 85%. Later on he was elevated to the judge of Supreme Court.
ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP
Office of Hon’ble Justice Aravind Kumar, Supreme Court of India, is accepting applications for internship,
Duration: 15 April 2024 to 30 May 2024.
Eligibility: Students in their third, fourth or final year of the 5-year B.A. LL.B. program (or its equivalent) or in their second or final year of the 3-year LL.B. program are eligible to intern at the office of Hon’ble Justice Aravind Kumar.
Mode of internship: This is a physical internship. No hybrid mode will be permitted.
