Social Change School, in collaboration with the Indigenous Peoples Rights International (IPRI), is pleased to share this opportunity to work at the forefront of defending Indigenous Peoples’ rights. IPRI is a global Indigenous-led organization focused on combating violence, impunity, and criminalization of Indigenous defenders of land and territories.

Position Details

  • Position: Advocacy Coordinator – UN & Private Sector
  • Location: Remote
  • Type: Full-time
  • Organization: Indigenous Peoples Rights International (IPRI)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage IPRI’s advocacy strategy with UN bodies and private sector entities
  • Coordinate a team working across multiple jurisdictions and regions
  • Collaborate with Indigenous leaders and global civil society organizations
  • Produce policy reports, position papers, and advocacy materials
  • Represent IPRI in international and corporate accountability forums
  • Facilitate partnerships with key stakeholders in the human rights space

Candidate Profile

  • An Indigenous advocate with a deep commitment to rights and justice
  • Minimum 5 years of advocacy experience with UN and corporate accountability frameworks
  • At least 3 years of program coordination or management experience
  • Proficient in writing, strategic communication, and networking
  • Strong understanding of Indigenous Peoples’ rights, criminalization trends, and advocacy tools
