About the Opportunity
The Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), a premier R&D organization under the Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, is inviting applications for the position of Legal Adviser. The role is a Group ‘A’ Administrative Post and offers an excellent opportunity to work at the national level in service matters and legal advisory within the public research sector.

Age Limit
- Minimum: 32 Years
- Maximum: 50 Years (as of the closing date – 02.07.2025)
- PwBD candidates: 10-year relaxation (up to 56 years)
- No upper age limit for existing CSIR employees
Essential Qualification
- LL.M. with 5 years’ experience in handling service matters
OR - 5-year integrated LL.B. / LL.B. with 8 years’ experience in handling service matters
Desirable Qualifications
- Knowledge of Government Rules, Regulations, and Procedures
- Experience in service law, industrial & labour laws
- Exposure to civil courts, labour courts, tribunals, arbitrations
- Drafting of MoUs and legal agreements

Selection Process
- Selection will be based on an interview conducted by a duly constituted Selection Committee
- Shortlisting will be done based on the recommendations of a Screening Committee
