We are inviting applications for two Socio-Legal Internship positions, offering hands-on exposure to legal drafting, policy research, and socio-legal fieldwork. This internship is ideal for individuals passionate about the intersection of law, public policy, and social justice.
Key Areas of Work
- Drafting of Petitions, Replies, PILs, SLPs, Writs, and other legal filings
- Legal research for ongoing litigation before various Courts
- Preparation of case briefs, note sheets, and legal opinions
- Policy analysis on issues of constitutional importance, civil rights, and social justice
- Developing content for legal awareness, law-and-society initiatives, and rights-based engagement
Internship Details
- Duration: 4–6 weeks (with the possibility of extension based on performance)
- Mode: Primarily Remote; Hybrid mode available if based in Delhi NCR
- Stipend: Paid Internship
- Perks: Certificate of Completion and Letter of Recommendation upon successful completion
- Flexible Hours: Manage your work schedule independently, provided all deliverables are submitted on time
Eligibility Criteria
- Students of a law course
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Interest in constitutional law, public interest litigation, and access to justice
- Self-motivated and reliable
- One position is reserved for a first-generation lawyer aspirant, as a commitment to inclusion and representation
- Applicants with prior exposure to PILs, human rights, or legal aid work will be preferred
- Should be comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines, even with time zone differences (as the supervising advocate may travel for work)
