About the Internship

Karan Gupta Law Chambers is inviting applications for physical litigation internships at its Bangalore office. Please note that all slots till 01.04.2026 are already filled. Applications are open only for the slots mentioned below.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Currently pursuing law from a recognised university (3-year or 5-year course)
  • Penultimate-year or final-year law students only
  • Prior internship experience in disputes / litigation is mandatory

Available Internship Slots

  1. 01 April 2026 – 30 April 2026
    (Decision expected by 28 February 2026)
  2. 01 June 2026 – 30 June 2026
    (Decision expected by 15 April 2026)

Stipend

  • ₹6,000 per month – Students residing in Bangalore
  • ₹6,000 stipend + up to ₹6,000 reimbursement (expenses) – Students residing outside Bangalore

Nature of Work / Responsibilities

  • Legal research and drafting in dispute-related matters
  • Participation in meetings
  • Taking ownership of assigned matters under supervision

Application Requirements

Applicants must submit all of the following:

  1. CV (maximum 3 pages)
  2. Statement of Interest (maximum 300 words) explaining motivation to practice disputes / litigation
  3. ONE of the following:
    • (a) Published writing sample (post January 2023), OR
    • (b) Analytical note (800–1200 words) on one of the topics below

Topics (Choose One)

  1. Actus curiae neminem gravabit in the context of failure of Trial Court to record reasons for dispensation of notice under Order 39 Rule 3 CPC
    OR
    b. Judicial scrutiny of a cloud on title in a bare injunction suit — whether denial of title in a written statement mandates amendment to a declaration suit
