About the Opportunity
Applications are invited for the position of Legal Manager (Legal & Recovery) at the Mumbai office. This is a specialized mid-senior role for professionals experienced in SARFAESI enforcement and recovery litigation.
Eligibility Criteria
- LL.B. from a recognized university
- 5–6 years of experience (mandatory in SARFAESI enforcement)
- Experience in NBFC / Housing Finance / Secured Lending (preferred)
- Strong drafting, litigation, and compliance knowledge
Nature of Work / Responsibilities
SARFAESI & Auction (Core Role)
- Handling end-to-end process under the SARFAESI Act 2002
- Issuing and reviewing notices under Sections 13(2), 13(3A), 13(4)
- Managing possession (symbolic & physical via DM/CMM under Section 14)
- Approving auction processes (valuation, reserve price, notices)
- Ensuring compliance with Enforcement Rules, RBI/NHB guidelines
- Handling post-auction litigation and disputes
Litigation & Advisory
- Managing cases before DRT/DRAT, Civil Courts & High Courts
- Supervising external advocates
- Advising internal teams (Recovery, Credit, Operations)
- Supporting audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance
