About the Internship
Advocate Sushant Singh is inviting applications for two Socio-Legal Internship positions, providing valuable exposure to legal drafting, policy research, and socio-legal fieldwork. The internship is ideal for students or individuals passionate about public policy, constitutional law, and social justice.
Interns will work on a variety of tasks that offer deep insights into the workings of public interest litigation, civil rights, and the legal processes that contribute to social change.
Key Areas of Work
- Drafting petitions, replies, PILs, SLPs, writs, and other legal filings
- Legal research for ongoing litigation before various courts
- Preparation of case briefs, note sheets, and legal opinions
- Policy analysis on issues of constitutional importance, civil rights, and social justice
- Content development for legal awareness, law-and-society initiatives, and rights-based engagement
Mode: Hybrid | Remote | Research-Based | Flexible Timings
Duration: 4–6 weeks (with possibility of extension based on performance)
Stipend: Paid Internship
Location: Primarily Remote; Hybrid mode available for Delhi NCR-based candidates
Eligibility Criteria
- Law students currently enrolled in a recognized law program
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Interest in constitutional law, public interest litigation, and access to justice
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently
Preference
- One position is specifically reserved for a first-generation lawyer aspirant, as part of a commitment to inclusion and representation.
- Applicants with prior exposure to PILs, human rights, or legal aid work are preferred.
- Comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines, especially across time zone differences (the supervising advocate may travel for work).
Internship Details
- Duration: 4–6 weeks (extendable based on performance)
- Mode: Remote work primarily; Hybrid option for Delhi NCR-based applicants

- Flexible Hours: Interns may manage their schedules independently, provided all deliverables are submitted on time
