About the Opportunity
DAKSH is inviting applications for the position of Director – Commercial Disputes to lead its Commercial Disputes Initiative, a five-year programme focused on improving the efficiency, predictability, and accessibility of India’s commercial dispute resolution system.
Eligibility Criteria
• 10–15+ years of experience in commercial litigation, arbitration, policy research, or institutional reform.
• Deep understanding of India’s commercial dispute resolution ecosystem, including commercial courts, arbitration law, and tribunals.
• Proven track record of leading complex, multi-year initiatives with measurable outcomes.
• Strong institutional relationships across the judiciary, government, and legal ecosystem.
• Excellent strategic thinking, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including policy writing and public engagement.
• Experience managing teams, budgets, and large-scale projects.
• Ability to build consensus across diverse stakeholders.
• Commitment to evidence-based reform and public interest initiatives.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Lead DAKSH’s Commercial Disputes Initiative.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve commercial dispute resolution systems.
• Engage with judicial institutions, government bodies, and industry stakeholders.
• Lead policy research, advocacy, and reform initiatives.
• Manage programme teams, budgets, and project execution.
• Drive institutional collaborations and public engagement efforts.
• Monitor outcomes and ensure successful implementation of long-term reform objectives.
