About the Opportunity
Adv. Shadab Alam is inviting applications from dedicated legal interns and volunteers to assist with pro bono litigation work on critical human rights issues. The practice focuses on matters such as custodial deaths, custodial torture, the right to education, the right to health, lynching, justice for acid attack victims, land rights, and other pressing concerns of the downtrodden and underprivileged.
This opportunity offers hands-on exposure to public interest lawyering and a chance to contribute meaningfully towards social justice.
Internship Details
- Position: Legal Interns / Volunteers
- Location: Remote or On-site (Ranchi or Dhanbad)
- Duration: Minimum commitment of 15 days
- Stipend: Unpaid (Voluntary basis)
- Certificate: Internship Certificate will be provided upon successful completion
Eligibility Criteria
- Law students or fresh graduates with a strong zeal for social justice and public service
- Sincere, motivated, and committed individuals willing to contribute to human rights litigation
- Research and drafting skills will be an added advantage
Responsibilities
- Conducting legal research for cases pending before the Jharkhand High Court and various district courts
- Fact-finding through field visits to support filing of new PILs
- Drafting and filing RTI applications
- Assisting with preparation and drafting for ongoing cases and new PILs
