About the Fellowship
The Nyaaya Prayaana Fellowship is a first-of-its-kind initiative by the Karnataka State Legal Services Authority and OutLawed India, offering a 12-month full-time paid fellowship for young lawyers and law graduates to work at the frontlines of access to justice. This is not just a fellowship—it’s a journey across Karnataka, not as a tourist, but as a catalyst for change.
Role of a Fellow
- Train and deploy Paralegal Volunteers across Karnataka’s districts
- Work closely with District Legal Services Authorities, lawyers, police, and communities
- Contribute to legal aid innovation through research, field insights, and technology
- Receive training and mentorship from leading professionals in law and development
What We Offer
- Stipend: ₹50,000 per month
- Fully covered travel & accommodation
- Certificate of completion and professional networks in law and policy
Eligibility
- Law graduates or young lawyers passionate about access to justice
- Self-motivated leaders willing to work in dynamic field environments
- Fluency in Kannada is essential
