
ABOUT THE MOOT COURT COMPETITION
The 1st International Moot Court Competition at Presidency University, Bengaluru, invites law students to engage with cutting-edge issues of international law in a simulated courtroom setting from February 20th to 22nd, 2026. Hosted by the Moot Court Society of Presidency School of Law, this event brings together teams from around the world to argue complex legal problems before distinguished panels of judges, promoting excellence in advocacy, research, and legal writing.
Competition Overview
Participants will tackle a specially crafted international law moot proposition, with teams comprising two speakers and one researcher representing their law school. The competition includes memorial submissions, oral rounds, and a dedicated researcher’s test. Rounds progress from preliminary and octa-finals through to high-stakes quarter-finals, semi-finals, and the ultimate championship final. All proceedings are conducted in English, fostering global engagement and cross-border learning.
Highlights and Rewards
The event features a total prize pool worth ₹2,55,000, with awards for Winners, Runners Up, Best Memorials, Best Researchers, and Best Speakers (male and female). Participants benefit from mentorship opportunities and discounts on law firm readiness programs, besides networking with peers and professionals. Global exposure, industry collaboration, and rigorous academic standards ensure this moot becomes a formative experience for all who attend.
