The word ‘Jihad’ means struggle or effort, which connotes the struggle of human beings towards right, avoiding wrong. The term ‘Love Jihad’ predominantly connotes the inter-religious marriage between a Muslim man and a non-Muslim woman through the act of alluring and converting her to Islam, where the woman becomes prone to harassment socially and virtually, because of which her Right to Equality, Liberty, Privacy, and to have a Choice as a basic inalienable Human Right gets violated. Several allegations have emerged, and new laws have been framed against such alleged marriages; however, whether this allegation of Love-Jihad is a myth or reality is a matter of deep concern and the objective of the present study.
