ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
VN Co Legal is hiring law interns for its office in Ahmedabad. The internship provides hands-on exposure to matters relating to Corporate Insolvency and Liquidation under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC).
WHAT THE WORK ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE
- Drafting and researching matters pertaining to the application stage prior to insolvency commencement.
- Researching the rights, duties, and interplay between various IBC stakeholders, including Resolution Professionals, Committee of Creditors, suspended directors, resolution applicants, and creditors.
- Assisting with interlocutory applications involving moratorium breaches, non-cooperation by erstwhile management, and avoidance transactions under Sections 66 and 213.
- Reviewing resolution plans and CoC processes and identifying compliance issues.
- Preparing hearing notes, contention-wise briefs, and case summaries for arguing counsel.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- Students pursuing 4th or 5th year of law.
- Genuine interest in insolvency and corporate litigation.
- Availability for a running internship of at least 6 months.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
- Strong independent research skills.
- Professional attitude, punctuality, and willingness to learn.
INTERNSHIP DETAILS
- Location: Ahmedabad
- Duration: Minimum 6 months
- Mode: In-office, with flexibility for WFH when required
- Stipend: To be discussed during the course of the internship
