Centre for Social Justice (CSJ) is a socio-legal, non-governmental organisation (NGO) working to use the judicial system to advance the rights of marginalised communities.
CSJ began operating through a network of law centres across Gujarat in 1993 and has since expanded to several states, including Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh.
Its centres comprise lawyers, paralegals and researchers working on issues affecting socially vulnerable communities, including women, queer people, Dalits, tribals and other marginalised groups, with a focus on access to rights guaranteed under law.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Position: Data Analyst – Research & Impact
Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat

Centre for Social Justice (CSJ) is looking for a curious, detail-oriented and collaborative Data Analyst to join its team in Ahmedabad.
The role involves working closely with grassroots data, research and field realities, bringing together quantitative and qualitative information to understand patterns, strengthen programmes and generate meaningful insights.
Key Areas of Work:
- Data management and analysis.
- Advanced Excel.
- Preparation and management of trackers and dashboards.
- Qualitative data synthesis.
- Data visualisation.
- Supporting field teams with data practices.
- Working with quantitative and qualitative information to support research and programme insights.
