About the Fellowship:
The Mukherjee Fellowship offers a unique, full-time, one-year program for young Indians to work closely with Members of Parliament (MPs) and Ministers on real-time policy and legislative matters. Designed for individuals interested in politics, law, governance, and policy-making, this internship-style fellowship combines academic training with practical political engagement.
Structure of the Program:
- Duration: 12 Months
- Training Phase: 3-month in-person training in Delhi
- Placement Phase: 9-month office placement with MPs or Ministers
- Stipend: ₹50,000 per month
- Support: Career guidance and mentorship throughout the fellowship
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be an Indian citizen
- Should be 25 years old or younger as of July 1, 2025
- Must be a final-year undergraduate student or a graduate
- Must be available full-time from July 17, 2025 to July 2026
