ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Position: Legal Associate
Practice Area: Real Estate & Banking Due Diligence

LVI Attorneys LLP is looking for a motivated and experienced Legal Associate to join its team for property-related legal due diligence and title verification assignments for Banks and NBFCs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of Due Diligence Reports (DDR) for immovable properties.
- Preparation of Title Search Reports / Title Investigation Reports for Banks and NBFCs.
- Detailed verification of title, ownership, and chain of property documents.
- Scrutiny and vetting of property documents, including Sale Deeds, Lease Deeds, Gift Deeds, Partition Deeds, Patta/Allotment documents, and other title documents.
- Verification of revenue records, mutation records, and other relevant property records.
- Identification of encumbrances, title defects, discrepancies, and legal risks relating to properties.
- Examination of mortgage/security-related documents for banking and lending transactions.
- Drafting legal opinions and reports relating to property title and due diligence.
- Coordination with Banks, NBFCs, clients, and concerned authorities, wherever required.
- Handling other legal and documentation work connected with property due diligence.
Candidate Requirements:
- Degree from a recognised university.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in property due diligence/title search work.
- Practical knowledge of property laws, registration, and revenue records.
- Prior experience in preparing legal reports for Banks/NBFCs will be preferred.
- Strong legal drafting, document scrutiny, and analytical skills.
- Ability to independently examine property documents and prepare comprehensive legal reports.
