About the Opportunity
HarperCollins India is hiring a Contracts & Rights Professional to join its publishing team. The role involves managing publishing contracts, subsidiary rights agreements, permissions, and rights transactions while working closely with authors, literary agents, and internal stakeholders.
Eligibility Criteria
• Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B.).
• 5–7 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in publishing contracts, negotiations, and copyright/rights management.
• Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and process-management abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assignments.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Draft, review, and negotiate publishing contracts.
• Manage subsidiary rights agreements and permissions.
• Handle rights transactions and copyright-related matters.
• Coordinate with authors, literary agents, and internal teams.
• Ensure compliance with publishing and copyright requirements.
• Support the publication process through effective contract and rights management.
