Universal Legal is inviting applications for the position of Legal Associate – Corporate & Commercial / M&A at its Nariman Point office, Mumbai. The firm is looking for a skilled and driven lawyer with strong experience in corporate transactions and commercial documentation.

Eligibility & Requirements
- LL.B. from a recognised university (Bar Council enrolment preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of PQE in corporate and commercial law
- Strong experience in transactional documentation and M&A support
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to independently manage assignments with professionalism and commercial awareness
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating corporate and commercial contracts
- Preparing and revising transactional documents including:
- Share Subscription Agreements
- Shareholders’ Agreements
- Business Transfer Agreements
- Joint Venture Agreements
- Employment Agreements
- Escrow Agreements
- Conducting legal due diligence
- Assisting in corporate advisory, regulatory, and compliance matters
- Coordinating with clients, counterparties, consultants, and internal teams
- Supporting senior lawyers on complex transactions and strategic matters
