About the Opportunity:
The Centre for Civil Society (CCS) is inviting applications for the position of Junior Legal Associate to join its Jeevika Team. This role focuses on legal empowerment of street vendors and supporting the implementation of the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act, 2014. The position offers a meaningful opportunity to work at the intersection of law, policy, and livelihoods.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Contribute to policy and legal research related to street vending and urban livelihoods
- Support implementation and advocacy around the Street Vendors Act, 2014
- Assist in legal empowerment initiatives for street vendors
- Work on projects aimed at improving economic freedom and livelihood security
- Engage with field-level realities across Delhi, Jaipur, and Lucknow
