Role Overview:
As a Paralegal, you will be part of the Global Legal & Integrity Team, supporting lawyers in document management, contract drafting, and integrity compliance. This position is ideal for candidates with a keen eye for detail and a passion for legal and compliance processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist lawyers in preparing, drafting, reviewing, and amending contracts such as NDAs, Sales Contracts, and GTCs.
- Edit and proofread contracts and legal correspondence.
- Identify and mitigate legal risks and opportunities, ensuring document accuracy and quality.
- Summarize key contractual provisions.
- Contribute to the development of legal and integrity services.
- Support integrity functions, including audit assistance, investigations, interview note-taking, and statement preparation.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external legal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
- Uphold Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for your actions while supporting your colleagues and the organization.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Education: LL.B. / B.L. from a recognized university.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in a similar legal or paralegal role.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with tools such as Salesforce, CLM, and Compliance Desktop preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong command of Microsoft O365 (MS Lists, Teams, Word, Excel).
- Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and time management abilities.
- Excellent understanding of contracts and legal terminology.
- Detail-oriented with strong written and spoken English skills.
