About the Competition:
The Department of Law, Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies (MAIMS), New Delhi, is organizing the 5th MAIMS Mock Trial Competition, 2026 in a hybrid format. The competition aims to provide law students with a dynamic platform to showcase their advocacy, research, and courtroom skills while engaging with contemporary legal issues.
Competition Details:

Mode: Hybrid (Online + Offline)
Dates: 10th–12th September 2026 & 25th–26th September 2026
Venue: Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies, Rohini, New Delhi
Registration Fee: ₹5,600 per team
Early Bird Fee: ₹5,000 per team (on or before 23rd May 2026)
Accommodation Fee: ₹4,000 (Optional for qualifying teams)
Eligibility Criteria:
• Open to students pursuing a 3-year or 5-year LL.B. programme.
• A maximum of two teams may participate from the same institution.
• Each team must consist of four members.
• Two members shall act as Speakers and two members shall act as Researchers-cum-Witnesses.

• Preliminary Rounds I & II – 11th September 2026 (Virtual)
• Quarter-Final Round – 12th September 2026 (Virtual)
• Semi-Final Round – 25th September 2026 (Physical)
• Final Round – 25th September 2026 (Physical)
• Valedictory Ceremony – 26th September 2026
Awards:
• Best Team – ₹50,000 + Certificate of Merit
• Runner-Up Team – ₹25,000 + Certificate of Merit
• Best Speaker – ₹5,000 + Certificate of Merit
• Best Researcher – ₹5,000 + Certificate of Merit
• Best Memorial – ₹5,000 + Certificate of Merit
• Best Witness-Cum-Researcher – ₹10,000 + Certificate of Merit
• MAIMS Exemplary Witness – Certificate of Merit
