About the Organiser
LawMarg is a legal education platform built exclusively for practical legal drafting. It focuses on a skill law students and young lawyers are expected to use from their first day in practice: turning legal knowledge into clear, effective documents.
Its courses are taught live by practising Supreme Court and High Court advocates, AORs and law firm lawyers who work with these drafts professionally. Rather than asking learners to copy a template, LawMarg teaches them why a document is structured the way it is, what each part needs to achieve, and how drafting choices affect a client’s case.
LawMarg has served over 1,500 law students, advocates and professionals, with 60+ internship selections reported across its programmes.
About the Course
Knowing which petition to file is different from knowing how to draft it.
The 3rd Edition of the Certificate Course on Litigation Drafting takes participants through 50+ drafts across nine online sessions, focused on pleadings, petitions, affidavits, appeals and applications used in High Court and Supreme Court practice.
Sessions begin on Sunday, 27 September 2026, at 6:00 PM.
Eligibility
Open to law students, litigation interns, junior advocates and legal professionals who want to strengthen their practical drafting skills.
Course Modules
Article 226 writ petitions: Service matters, quashing of FIRs, administrative orders and tax demands
Article 32 petitions and prerogative writs: Fundamental rights petitions, PILs and the five writs
Supporting documents: Vakalatnama, memo of parties and affidavits
Special Leave Petitions: Civil and criminal SLPs, synopses and supporting documents
Review and curative petitions
High Court appeals: Letters Patent Appeals, Article 227 petitions, first and second appeals
Contempt proceedings: Petitions, notices, replies and affidavits
Interim applications and procedural drafts: Stay, interim relief, caveats and responses
Bonus session: Further drafting practice on Article 32 petitions
